Le Mas Barossa Wedding // Ruby and James

I had the pleasure of capturing a truly breathtaking black-tie wedding at the beautiful boutique Barossa Hotel Le Mas. The warm summer day set the stage for a perfect celebration.

The atmosphere exuded pure joy and relaxation throughout the event. They decided to have a first look and take care of most of the photos earlier in the day, and once the guests started arriving there was an undeniable sense of fun and luxury in the air.

The stunning venue provided an exquisite backdrop for every moment captured. With its charming architecture and picturesque surroundings, it effortlessly enhanced the beauty of the day.

As the photographer, my aim was to ensure that every image reflected the couple’s love and the essence of their special day. I wanted to capture the laughter, the tears of joy, and the happiness that radiated from every guest.

An extra special guest on the day was Freddo Dog, a wonderfully obedient and calm canine who brought joy and excitement everywhere he went – a great addition to an already super fun day!

The dancefloor was unlike anything I’d seen before, a black and white chessboard of mayhem illuminated by the Milky Way and a string of a hundred or so globes. We managed to get the timing of the first dance spot on, a touch of blue in the sky balanced with the perfect amount of man-made light.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have been a part of this unforgettable wedding celebration. Capturing the love, laughter, and pure happiness that filled the air was truly an honour.

Ruby and James, thank you so much for inviting me to be part of your day, it was an unforgettable experience!!

Q & A

Tell me about your The Beginning!

We met in Uni, studying to be paramedics. We hit it off, hung out most days and 6 years later it hasn’t changed.

When and where did you get engaged?

James managed to surprise Ruby with a lunch at Goldings, after a silent (nervous) first course he popped the question! All the staff we’re in on it too.

What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day?

Elegant, french provincial, black tie. Florals are green and white

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

Walking back down the isle together

Top Tips!

Don’t take it too seriously, don’t stress over the little stuff – no one remembers the personalised coasters and everyone remembers good food, good music and great company
