The words “highest rainfall forecast for 30 years” are not ones you want to hear the day before your wedding day, especially when your wedding is being held outdoors and you’ve spent countless hours styling everything just right.
Toni and Wade got married on a stunning private property on the River Murray just outside Barmera. I arrived the day before the wedding to check things out and get a feel for the best spots for photos (including a pretty comprehensive wet weather strategy!). It rained all night and much of the morning, but by around 11am things had started to clear. The radar was looking promising. How could this be? It was supposed to be the WETTEST WEEKEND IN 30 YEARS. Against all odds the rain remained at bay all day and didn’t resume until everyone was safely inside at the reception later that night. Incredible.
The photos tell the story of the day far better than my words ever could, but I will say that Toni and Wade and every single one of their wedding party were amazing to work with and all the work they put into the day made my job super easy!!
