Spring is perhaps the most magical season, and a spring wedding at Golding is about as good as it gets – especially after a wet winter has left us with the greenest of fields. From Tarley’s immaculate Caleche gown, to the dream team of suppliers (Mason Lloyd, Jess Maida and Kate Roxby, to name a few), this was always going to be super fun wedding, and it absolutely lived up to hype – the dance floor in particular was at fever pitch all night.
Back in 2010, Tarley was working as a vet nurse (and moonlighting as a Hills rep, getting sent round to pet stores on weekends to sell the good stuff). Chris was behind the counter at Petstock, working there while he studied. When Tarley needed someone to lug the heavy bags of pet food around, she knew exactly who to ask.
Smooth move. And it worked, she knew straight away he was the one. Chris took a bit more convincing though, because it took a solid two years before he finally took her out, for her 22nd birthday no less, to the Greek on Halifax.
Fast forward to 2017 and a weekend away in McLaren Vale, where Chris set the whole thing up properly – roses, candles, the works, down on one knee with a full speech. Tarley reckons she doesn’t remember a word of what he said, which tells you everything about how well that shock-and-awe proposal landed.
Tarley and Chris, thank you for having me along for the ride, what a day!
