The Station Kapunda Wedding // Dani and Luke

When Dani and Luke told me about their plans for their The Station Kapunda wedding, I thought it sounded just about perfect. A big bridal party, but not too many guests. This meant that there was a real party atmosphere from the very start of the preparations until the very end of the night, but it also meant that they had plenty of time to spend with each of the guests who had made it – the best of both worlds.

Dani and Luke met some years ago when they were both training at the South Australian Sports Institute, Luke was an elite hockey player and Dani a cyclist. They have since moved to Burra and carved out a beautiful life for themselves along with their firecracker of a daughter!

This was my first trip to The Station Kapunda and I was blown away. It is an old railway station that has been converted into group accommodation and it is spectacular, even though the trains don’t run through any more. There are gorgeous archways perfect for photos, the sun is in just the right spot at the right time of day, there are some old train tracks that are right there for some sunset photos, and the beautiful paddocks and dirt roads are only a couple of minutes’ drive away. All up, it’s pretty much your perfect country wedding experience.

Dani and Luke, thanks so much for having me on board, this was an unforgettable wedding, an absolute joy to attend.
