Sometimes everything comes together just right. The venue (Brooklyn Farm is next level awesome), the weather, the couple, the guests and all the other little things just fall into place. I’m sure Sasha and Brett (but mostly Sasha!) would have a slightly different take on in, with all the planning, organising, rushing around and ensuring everything was good to go, but from my perspective, I felt like I was cruising into a photographer’s dream as I drove down the dusty dirt road to the homestead.
Brooklyn Farm itself has an interesting history, the gorgeous old homestead at the centre of the property is not as old as you might think. It was actually built in the late 2000s for the movie The Boys Are Back and has since been converted to a BnB / kick-ass wedding venue, so when Sasha was getting ready she was doing so in a room custom-designed for a freaking feature film, the light was perfect, the decor exemplary and the Grace Loves Lace dress absolutely perfect.
Like I said, sometimes everything comes together just right.
