Weddings come in all shapes and sizes, and I’ve gotta say, Elisha and Alex’s decision to have their Partridge House wedding at 11:30am and to make the reception a long lazy lunch wrapping up at 5am was a really good one. It helped that they didn’t have a bridal party, our pre-wedding photos consisted of 20 minutes in the room they got ready in together at the Stamford Grand, followed by some meandering portraits as we made our way to Partridge House on foot (and a bit by car). After lunch was finished, we headed back down to the seaside for an ice cream and a sunset (which didn’t really pan out) and I was home in time for dinner with my family – the perfect day!
Elisha and Alex first met on Tinder, this is proof that sometimes the best things come from a simple swipe. Not long after, things clearly fell into place, leading to a proposal in June last year in Hyde Park, Sydney, a pretty perfect spot to make it official.
When it comes to advice, they kept it simple: book everything early so you don’t have to stress. And as Elisha wisely put it… make sure you actually like the person first.
