A little bit of rain on your wedding day is considered good luck, so when the forecast told us to expect a little bit of rain no one was too bothered. The radar on the weather app suggested things would be pretty clear for the ceremony, so everything proceeded outdoors as planned. About halfway through, there were a few drops, no big deal, but before we knew what was going on, the entire contents of an Olympic-sized swimming pool descended on us over for the next 10 minutes. Chloe and James were kept dry(ish) under their umbrellas, but the rest of us were at the mercy of the elements. Before long we were all inside where it was warm and dry, and by the time guests were seated, we’d all dried out and had a pretty epic story to tell.
Chloe and Jacob met through a friend of a friend at a house party, got chatting, and hit it off straight away. A couple of days later James made the move and asked Chloe out, with both of them very much on the same page about keeping things casual. Their first date was at Monarto Zoo, where they were spotted by one of the children that James teaches which sparked an interrogation for him on Monday! James stepped things up properly with the proposal, booking a suite at the Shangri-La in Sydney overlooking the Harbour Bridge. Not a bad view to go with a pretty big question. Safe to say Chloe said yes.
