Autumn is just such a magical time to get married, particularly in the Adelaide Hills, and more specifically at Howard Vineyard. Yes, it does get chilly in the evenings, and the risk of rain is a little higher than other times during the year, but the trade-off of gorgeous soft light, magical colours among the vines and a warming alfresco fire more than make up for it.
Tell me about your The Beginning!
Matt and I met on an online dating app roughly 10 years ago to the day. After chatting for a while via text and phone calls we decided to meet up and the rest is history!
10 years, 2 kids together, a house and a cat later, here we are getting married.
When and where did you get engaged?
On our 5 year anniversary at a little Italian restaurant in Leigh St Adelaide.
What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day?
No set style or theme. We just wanted a special day to share with family and loved ones. We asked for a cocktail style dress because as parents we often don’t get the chance to get dressed up and have a night off.
On our wedding info page under dress code we stated: What shall we wear?? Let’s dress up, dance and enjoy lots of love and laughter!
What are you most looking forward to on the day?
Love and laughter!
I can’t wait to see the joy and excitement on our children’s faces and to enjoy being dressed up, which is a rare occurrence these days all of this whilst being surrounded by our fave people.
Top Tips!
Don’t try to organise everything at once! Weddings take time. You can’t get it all organised in one day and if you hit a speed bump along the way and something can’t be achieved, try to think of other options that might be able to give you that same feeling or effect.
