Coriole Turning It On
Some spots just have a way of setting the mood without you even trying. Coriole is one of those places. You roll up, look out over McLaren Vale, and you just know it’s going to be a cracking day. Emma and Tobi picked it for their wedding and boy oh boy, it suited them perfectly. Emma’s chattering teeth towards the end of the ceremony would have liked a few more degrees Celsius and a few fewer knots of wind blowing, but you can’t have it all!
These two go way back. Proper childhood sweethearts with a long intermission. They met in year five at Pembroke, Tobi was Emma’s first kiss, and they even went to formal together in year eleven. The relationship didn’t kick off back then, life moved on, and they went their separate ways. A few years later they bumped into each other at a mutual friend’s twenty first and that was that. Right in my wheelhouse. I love a full circle moment.
The Proposal and The Day
Their engagement happened back in August 2023 at the Pavilions in Lenswood. A beautiful, simple backdrop for something that clearly meant the world.
The vision for the day was classic and contemporary. Clean whites, touches of sage green, nothing too fussy. Just timeless choices that let the venue and the people shine. And at Coriole, that combination is pretty hard to beat.
When I asked what they were most looking forward to, Tobi didn’t even hesitate. Seeing his beautiful soon-to-be wife walking down the aisle. You could feel how much he meant it too. And from there, it was all about celebrating their love with the people who’ve been part of their story from day one.
If you’re planning your own wedding, Emma and Tobi have the best advice. Realise that not everything can be controlled and put your trust in your vendors. They’ve done this a hundred times. They’ll take so much stress off your plate if you let them.
All in all, it was an incredible day in one of the most beautiful corners of South Australia. Warm, genuine, and full of the kind of moments that stick with you long after the last glass is poured.
