Loved up St Peter’s College Wedding // Kellie and James

When Kellie and James got in touch about the possibility of me shooting their St Peter’s College wedding it felt like the stars had aligned. Their date was my only free Saturday over a busy two-month period, and their plan for the day sounded just about perfect.

I started the day taking photos of Kellie and the girls getting ready at their beautiful home in the hills before heading down to Saint Peter‘s College Chapel to document the formalities when we walked into the chapel the sun was out and conditions were hot, when we emerged an hour later the clouds had rolled in, a breeze had picked up, and the weather was actually pretty much perfect if a little warm.

Next, we moved on to The Pavillion at Carrick Hill for the reception (my second time in 2 weeks!), the newly built pavilion is such a perfect place to watch the sun go down while celebrating a wedding, and talk about a celebration! There was so much love and joy in the air that it was an absolute pleasure to photograph, and as the evening went on we were treated to the musical stylings of the iconic DJ Driller. As usual, it was an absolute pleasure working alongside Wade from Movement Productions, one of the best in the business and the perfect mix of well-organised and laid-back for a wedding such as this.

Kellie and James, thank you so much for letting me into your world for a day, I hope these photos do it justice 🙂

Q & A

Tell me about your The Beginning!

I was a new Company Director and my first gig was was to host clients at the Balaklava Races. James was the last tabled i greeted and they were clearly the ‘Naughty Table’. James and I instantly clicked, he was very smart and kind which i liked alot. We talked on the phone for 2 months as James was working away in the country so we got to know each other quite well before our first date.

When and where did you get engaged?

Our first date was at 2KW so this is where James proposed

What style/theme have you chosen for your Wedding Day?

Japanese/ Golden era hollywood….because it hasn’t been done and it’s perfect.

What are you most looking forward to on the day?

Each step is so exciting- getting to the church to the sound of an amazing organ, walking in and seeing everyone dressed up , seeing our daughter sing Ave’ Maria, seeing the reception room done up, announcing our daughters as Bruce’s etc. etc. Too many to narrow down.

Top Tips!

Try not to get wrapped around the axels about little things and remember why you are all here. To have fun and share the love. Start your relationship as you mean to go on….laughing!
