I haven’t shot a Barrister’s Block wedding for a few years, but when a stroke of luck allowed me to shoot this one, I was pretty chuffed….
2024 has been a year of firsts for me, first night wedding, first wedding ending up at Adelaide Oval for the test match, and the first time I shot two weddings in one day. Katie and Jasmine’s was one of two.
To be fair, both weddings were Friday elopements, and I had 2 hours at each, so it wasn’t like an 80s sitcom where I was rushing back and forth from one to the other in secret, trying to cover all bases without anyone finding out. It was all very manageable. The stroke of luck was that Katie and Jasmine were happy to have their ceremony around lunchtime, while my other wedding was later in the day, the timing and locations worked together perfectly and even allowed me to stop off for some mid-afternoon sushi to keep energy levels high.
