There was a lot of rain in the week in the week leading up to Jo and Andy’s McLaren Vale micro wedding. Pools of water on the ground out the front of the Currant Shed where they had their reception lunch. The day before, the boffins at the bureau were suggesting we might get up to 10mm, but as luck would have it the weather gods were smiling on us all, and in the little pocket of McLaren Vale where the festivities were held it was as dry as a bushman’s Akubra (not my best simile).
It was great to work with the wonderful Penelope Carrick again, I got to experience Shadow Creek as a micro wedding venue for the first time (wow!) and it’s always a pleasure to drop in at the Currant Shed, a real jewel in the crown that is McLaren Vale. Jo and Andy, thankyou so much for having me on board, we only had a few hours together but I could tell you were a pair of beautiful gentle souls with a magical future ahead of you.
