UPDATE – Below is the post I wrote several month ago about the SA Professional Photography Awards (SAPPAs). Just yesterday the National Awards (APPAs) were judged, I entered the same photos and managed to jag 3 silver awards – a better result than at the State Awards!!

Last weekend the cream of the SA photography crop came together for the SA Professional Photography Awards (SAPPAs). This annual event, and the awards dinner on the Tuesday, is always a highlights of the calendar as it’s an excuse to get out out of your trackies and ugg boots, drag yourself out from behind the solitude of your desk and catch up face to face with real life humans who are in the same boat as yourself!
This year I entered the Wedding category and was pleased to win two silver awards! My four entries all came from different weddings and over the next four weeks I’ll be posting a blog from each of these weddings, it’s important to get some epic photos on a wedding day but it’s more important to have consistently beautiful photos that put together a cohesive story showing how it felt to be there, the laughs that were chortled and the tears that were shed.
