There are plenty of famous movies of couples meeting in London; Notting Hill, Love Actually, Four Weddings and a Funeral, the list goes on. Sadly, when it comes to love stories of couples who met on the sticky floors of the London Tavern, Hollywood has taken a more conservative approach. If a Hollywood exec ever decided to climb down from their ivory tower to green-light a film about Camilla and Jason’s love story, I would watch the shit out of it.
What’s not to love about the story of a 19 year old Brit packing her bags for a year down under, only to discover the love of her life in a dimly lit underground tavern? How will they make it work? She has to be back to the UK soon, and he’s got his university studies keeping him in Adelaide. And they’re still so young, is this crazy?
Well, spoiler alert, they did make it, and nearly 12 years after that subterranean encounter, they made it legal at the incredible Coriole winery, surrounded by 80 or so of their nearest and dearest who flew in from all over the globe for the celebration.

The proposal was a total vibe. Overlooking the vines in Watervale, after cooking a dinner of their favourite foods and wines, it felt like the kind of moment that only exists in movies. Except this one was real. The backdrop, the food, the wine, it all set the tone for the kind of day they wanted to share with everyone.
Their wedding day style was timeless, classic and elegant, which, if you ask me, fits the Coriole setting perfectly. Soft light, endless greenery, and that relaxed outdoor wedding reception energy that makes everyone want to linger just a little longer. Clean lines, simple colours, no fuss, just a stunning space and a celebration that felt effortless.
Jason was particularly excited for two things: seeing Camilla walking down the aisle and, equally, the live prosciutto station. It’s always nice when romance and cured meat exist in harmony. Honestly, who could blame him?
Their top tip is a practical one for anyone planning a wedding. Set up a dedicated email address for all vendor correspondence that both of you can access. It takes the mental load off one person, keeps things exciting when you get a “we received an email from X” notification together, and makes it way less likely to miss something important. Simple, smart, and makes planning feel shared.
It was an incredible day that blended elegance with fun, with an outdoor wedding reception that had everyone relaxed, laughing, and enjoying the moment. From sticky pub floors to vineyard views, this one was worth every single year in the making.
