Jackson Square Wedding // Bec and Forrest

We’re well and truly in Autumn now, but the weather is still HOT, and it was no different for Bec and Forrest’s toasty Jackson Square wedding. With an Adelaide United game taking place over the road and providing a large scale party ambiance, Bec and Forrest partied with around 50 of their nearest and dearest in a magical garden party vibe wedding.

The Story In Words

As a wedding photographer, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing many unique love stories, but Forrest and Bec’s journey is one that truly stands out. Their story began in 2015 at an AFL Grand Final party, when Bec was crying over another boy. Forrest, seeing the situation, decided to steer clear, thinking “nope, not getting involved.” Little did they know, that awkward moment would mark the start of a friendship that would eventually blossom into a deep, lasting love.

For years, they shared weekly dinners and laughs as close friends. While Forrest’s feelings for Bec grew over time, she was dating other people, so it never occurred to her that their bond could turn romantic. After four years of friendship, Forrest finally confessed his feelings, and though Bec was initially shocked, everything clicked into place. That very night, she asked him to kiss her—and from there, their story took a beautiful turn.

Fast forward to Christmas Day 2022, when Forrest proposed in front of Bec’s family. It was an incredibly emotional moment, with Bec’s dad grinning ear to ear and her mum and sisters wiping away tears of joy. Having such a meaningful proposal surrounded by family made it even more special, and the video of that moment will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

Their wedding at Jackson Square was everything they had dreamed of. The funky venue just outside the city provided the perfect backdrop for their garden party theme. The color palette of sage, dusty pink, rust, greys, and whites added a soft, romantic touch, while comfy couches and ottomans created a relaxed, cozy atmosphere. The oyster bar was a highlight of the night, much to everyone’s delight!

Forrest and Bec’s top advice for future couples? Things will inevitably go wrong, but don’t stress over the small stuff. Flexibility and focusing on the joy of celebrating with loved ones is what truly matters.

It was such an honor to capture Forrest and Bec’s unforgettable day, and I’m thrilled to see them begin this beautiful new chapter together.
