Glen Ewin Estate Wedding – Jade and Ben

If you’re anything like me you’ve got an Olympic shaped hole in your heart that Big Brother or the new Underbelly is just not going to fill. To honour our nation’s 7 Olympic gold medals I’ve decided to do “7 blogs in 7 days” (also, because I’ve got a bunch of stuff I’ve been meaning to blog for ages and this is the perfect excuse).
To get things started I would like to present the wedding of Jade and Ben, a couple of champion athletes in their own right on the netball court and footy field (sadly my relentless petitioning to the IOC to have these sports instated as Olympic events has fallen on deaf ears). The boys got the day started with a round of golf followed by a round of chicken sandwiches at Ben’s folk’s place, a perfect relaxing start to the day. The sports theme continued with the girls, I arrived to find a bridal party full of netballers with the father and sister of the bride glued to the tele watching LeBron and co take care of business in the NBA playoffs.

The wedding at Glen Ewin Estate was perfect, the outdoor ceremony by the lake was ideal and we all had a lot of fun getting some photos around the place afterwards. The reception was held in the Pulpshed on the Estate and was an evening filled with plenty of joy, laughter, sneaky groom-to-bride winks and the most athletic no-nonsense boquet catch I’ve ever seen.
When you’ve got a rig like Ben’s you need to have one shot in your wedding collection shirtless.
