It was six days before the wedding when I got the call.
Six days.
Their previous wedding photographer had fallen through and I had been recommended by a friend of a friend. By a stroke of luck I was free that day, had it been the weekend before or the weekend after things would have been different, but on this day all the ducks lined up and everything just fell into place.
Raynee and Tom had been living in London for years leading up to the wedding, and as someone who bought a house in Australia while living in in the UK I knew exactly what they were going through trying to organise everything from abroad. When we met in the lead up to the wedding I don’t think we even spoke about photography for the first half hour, it was all about travel and living overseas, but once we got round to the subject at hand it was clear we were all on the same page – beautiful photos of the couple, family and friends enjoying themselves in a relaxed, non-intrusive atmosphere.
The photos do a far better job of telling the story of the day than my words ever could so I’ll cut to the chase.

Super cute. |
Soft serve van waiting outside the church to provide refreshment for guests on a warm day = awesome idea. |
My type of wedding cake! |
As always the photobooth provided some fun shots including one freaky bubble shot! |
I’ll be putting some more images up on my Facebook business page shortly so if you want to see these make sure you head on over and “like” the page!
