Woodstock Wine Estate: Wedding Photography

On Saturday I headed out to Woodstock Wine Estate at McLaren Vale to take some photos for their website. They were hosting a wedding reception that night with guests arriving at 5pm, so I arrived around 4pm to take some shots of the Coterie all decked out but devoid of guests.

I’d never been to Woodstock before but had heard a lot about it. During the summer (and perhaps all year round?) they have live music, wood oven pizzas and their own delicious wines on select Friday nights – basically my ideal night! I’m looking forward to heading down when the weather warms up and lapping it up.

I don’t know if they do wood oven pizza weddings but I reckon that would be GREAT idea.

The Coterie itself is a stunning spot that feels like nature is just pouring in through the windows, it’s about as Australian as you can get.

The carpet on the floor has recently been replaced by floorboards which adds to the natural feel of the place, and the when it was all decked out everything looked great.

Any couples out there looking for a wedding venue should certainly check this one out. As for me, I’m waiting for some warm weather so I can head down on a Friday night or crack a bottle of their delicious rose at home, in the depths of winter I could taste a little bit of summer at the cellar door – in the mean time I guess the Very Old Fortified will have to see me through!
